We work closely with New Zealand and Australia travel agents who have experience with our triathlon events or the Round Raro Road race.

Pukekohe Travel (NZ based) and TriTravel (AUS based) have both sent numerous triathletes and their supporters to past Rarotonga International Triathlon Festival events.

Wildside travel (NZ based) has in the past organised runners travelling to the 'Round Raro Road Race and is this year offering packages to the Triathlon Festival.

So if you prefer to have someone else take care of your trip planning, please contact one of these Cook Island sport event specialists.

Rarotonga is an island with a 31km paved road around the perimeter. You may wish to hire a car or scooter so you can explore, get to the events, or go shopping.

Note that the maximum speed limit around is 50km/h except through Avarua and Muri where this is reduced to 30km/h.

If you are looking into hiring a vehicle we recommend using our event sponsor Island Car & Bike Hire. They have pickup locations near Edgewater Resort, Muri lagoon, in Avarua, and an option to collect/drop off from the airport.

Special rates are being offered for vehicles hired during the 2017 Triathlon Festival period (availability may be limited).
